Information about the Laying Results Results are updated at the end of each month, and profits take account for a 5% commission to the lay company, and a 5% above SP.
Therefore this should be a good indication of what can be achieved following my lay bets. I seem to be able to lay betweent 5 to 10% above SP, and quite often lay at less than SP. There has been many
occasions, after I have laid, the price drifts out and the SP becomes higher than my lay price. I can achieve this value because I only select Racing Post forecast favourites, which my computer rates less likely
to win than the forecasted SP suggests. Don't forget that the above table is for £100 per risk lay bet. (You are advised to start off with a lay stake risk you feel comfortable with, and be prepared to
pay out now and then!) .Some month laying will not be a bed of roses, and at other times it's a licenced to print money. I do not know which month are which, so I have to stick with it - good or bad. This is the risks
we take to get a profit! The computer software now selects very short odds favourites which are most likely to reap a good profit for the layer. This has brought the current success rate down to about 40-45%, but
should give a more substained profit long term. At least, I hope it will. |
